Not all pastry is sweet. And thank God for that. Quiche is one of those things that's ridiculously easy to make, but it's surrounded by
such an air of mystique that most people are afraid to try. Thus, it's gotten this insane reputation as fancy ooh la la food, so people pay five to ten dollars
for a single serving of what basically amounts to egg pie and they're fine with it. Quiche isn't hard to make, it's versatile, and it's delicious.
My pastry instructor said, "They say that real men don't eat quiche. That's not true. Real men eat whatever they want."
